  
Don't ask Cary Snyder how long they have been doing the whole art thing? "I honestly don't know. I can't remember a time when drawing wasn't my favorite means of expression."
When it comes to the artist's work, she says " I'm especially drawn to children's book illustrators--Mercer Mayer, Graeme Base, Dr. Suess, Lucy Cousins, etc. I tend to be very literal and I love to appeal to kids, so I feel a strong kinship with that group."
Snyder also admits, she is obsessed with religious iconography. The artist lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
