Cyndi Deery says she always knew she was destined to be an artist but admit's, the hard part was admitting it to herself. It would take over a quarter century, before Deery would seriously begin thinking about the talent bestowed upon her and begin really trying to learn and grow through her artistry. Looking at Deery's work, it is hard to believe that the artist is indeed self-taught. "I have no formal art training and everything I know about what I do, I pick up through the process of just doing it. I draw what comes out and strive to get better with each piece that I do. Everytime I sit to work on a new piece of art, I learn something new about myself. To me, that's what the art is about. Art is such a shared experience for artist and collector both, to know that it touched another in some meaningful way makes creating so much more fulfilling!
