GA Gardner's dynamic collages testify to his love of vibrant color and understanding of the interplay of abstract forms and lines. While his relationship with color originates in his native country of Trinidad, the evolution of GA’s collages speaks to influences from around the globe. GA deconstructs and reconstructs traditional ideas of reality, creating new forms, synergies, faces and scenes that, like any great collagist, are uniquely and unmistakably his. GA has had a life-long relationship with color and movement. His vibrant, multi-layered art has been exhibited internationally in over 30 galleries and museums including the Paterson Museum, Nanjing College of Art and Bergen Museum.

His art has been seen on CNN's Larry King Live, in the New York Times and in numerous international publications. In 2008, he created "Elements of Hope," a piece that received international media coverage. His 2010 "Haiti: Hope for the Children," was created to raise funds for the country. GA actively donates art to numerous non-profit organizations worldwide.

Trained in fine arts and the use of organic materials like wood, GA gravitated to computer art when he came to the US in the 1990s, creating and exhibiting large format 3D computer pieces. GA’s first two degrees are in art and animation from Francisco State University. He also has a doctorate from The Ohio State University in art education. GA lives and works Washington, D.C.

Exhibition run January 29, 2011 – February 27, 2011
