WHO IS THIS HOUSE and why is his work unlike anything else coming out of Africa? House is an incredibly talented young artist working out of the Ngecha village, which is about an hour outside of Nairobi, Kenya. Ngecha is well known as an artist commune that has produced many now famous African Painters - Ngecha Artists Association. Having branched out on his own the last couple of years, House has found a nice following for his work. The amazing thing about his work is the way inwhich it so easily crosses many barriers. Which is why people have come to expect the artist to paint images which are quite often considered taboo. Transgendered characters, violent and sexual content erupt beautifully before our very eyes in the most gorgeous of colors. Maybe this is why Houses' paintings sell so well in Nairobi - they are truly unique! House and his wife live a very relaxed lifestyle in Ngecha, which allows him plenty of time to paint and gather bizarre ideas for more of these fantastic paintings.
