The amazing thing about the artistry of Ronald Isom, is his ability to rouse the potentialities in our mind's eye. Looking upon these images, there is at first a moment of curiosity. Later, a more luminous facade begins to appear. Subtle and mysterious, Isom's work gives way to a much more gentle contemplation of shape & color. Causing images to form in the mind of what our tomorrow's may well look like.

It is important when viewing these images that we remember in Classic and Gothic building, the sculptor was, of course, specifically a collaborator of the architect. It may well be that in the distant future, some architect will conceive forms which, in scale and spirit, are at one with these dazzling and orginal works of art.

Having taught high school art for twenty-eight years, Ronald Isom today works exclusively from his studio home in Belleville, Illinois.
