Born in 1955 Lisbon, Portugal. Lampreia likes to paint with acrylics and oils. In winter, Lampreia works mostly with acrylics because it dries faster and this allow him to stop working on a painting sooner than possible with oils. Painting with oils is another matter. The oils properties allows Lampreia to interact with the canvas in a more tactile way, often using his hands to paint and achieving a different kind of relation with his work.
