hit me and I'm summoned to capture it, remix it and create a new visual.
Making it my own to share with the world. The art journey for which I
have embarked has taken many directions. Multiple pieces in my studio
are products of moods and situations I have experienced. When I finish
a piece, it may look nothing like what I started. My paintings, drawings
and sculptures allow me to express a creative thought and use art as therapy.
That becomes one of the goals as I focus on making art that is therapeutic
in some form to the viewers.
As an eclectic individual, I want to grow and expand into an artist that helps
break down barriers among people. Inspired by various artists, it is fulfilling
for me to create art that will evoke a response. Whether it is happiness or
sadness, joy or pain, I feel my art is effective if people can relate to it in some
form or fashion. I try to capture and share life through different perspectives.
My work contains elements of Neo Pop, Lowbrow Art, Afro-Folk, Urban Abstract
and Graffiti that appeal to all types of people. The work I create is a reflection
of my life, which is constantly changing and searching for stability and balance.
The word art is the making of things that have form and beauty. The word
creative means to have imagination and ability. My art is a creative
extension of me. This is my way of speaking when I am angry or feeling good.
Art is a way for me to express my thoughts and emotions. Art is something
that gives me real meaning. As I grow older, I am constantly trying to absorb knowledge and understanding that I believe will expand my imagination.
My focus is displaying and sharing my creative gifts with others. I intend to
continue exploring my creative potential. This will allow me to experiment with
different mediums and styles in a world of infinite possibilities.
