The son of a seventh son, Moseph was born Joseph Howard Belleville, in Saint louis, Missouri, during a great geomagnetic storm. Because Moseph was born with two different-colored eyes (one green/one brown), he colored eevryone's eyes that way in his coloring books as a child. In 1977, at the age of five, a typo on a Merrill-Lynch bond certificate gave him the nickname Moseph. Moseph's father, James Belleville, has traced their family tree to France's Clisson Vallery during the 1300's. The Bellevilles came to America in the 1670's to escape persecution and Moseph remains unpersecuted today. The artist resides in Yukon, Oklahoma.
