Born in 1967 in Nachingwea, Tanzania, Malikita was trained as a carpenter and worked as one until 1988 when he joined the Tingatinga Arts Cooperative (TACS). Chaotic cities, street vendors and public hospitals are amongst his favorite themes which he depicts in a cartoonish style. His work as been exhibitied in East Africa and Europe.
