MUTUALISTIC COEVOLUTION

The Solo Debut of Weston Packard

Photobucket

Weston Packard’s debut exhibition is full of multiple meanings. Asemic in nature, Packard's cryptic paintings and drawings often leave viewers feeling the duality of emotion as they dazzle in their psychological creation of a vast interpretational mindscape. Meanings sometimes but not always, are evoked by strange and exotic shapes resulting in a beautiful mash-up of intelligentsia and abandonment. Packard's work indeed walks a fine line between that which is serious and that which is carefree. Resulting in an exhibition that can at times appear to be uncanny and at times a bit tongue in cheek. Weston Packard can best be described as a mad scientist, meets mathematician, meets abstractionist and he's not even 30 yet. Mutualistic Coevolution beautifully allows space for viewers to fill in the blanks and open themselves to a world of discovery and personal interpretation.
