Wedegis has a background in mechanical engineering and computer programming and tries his best to fight off the urge to be too technical and logical with his art. Wedegis' passion for art began on a college field trip to the Guggenheim Museum to see an Alexander Calder exhibit. It is interesting to note that Calder was also an engineer.
