Wallace is a award-winning self-taught artist. Wallace grew up in Dickenson County Virginia, a rural coal mining region of the central Appalachian Mountains. He began painting at age 14. Painting about life in Appalachia is the artist's main focus, he is lead by his memories of life in the mountains to depict thoughts, values, ways of life and the future. He paints every day and makes at least two completed pieces of artwork a week. Wallace's work is internationally collected as well as in the collections of actor Billy Bob Thornton and designer Billy Reid. The artist resides in Clintwood, Virginia. Sold
