Cheo L. Waters was born in Georgia and raised in South Bend, Indiana. This amazing self-taught artist works in a variety of mediums including watercolor, alabaster, acrylic, marble, pastel, and wood. A huge lover of abstraction, Waters sculpts and paints based on the vision instilled in him from the Creator. "I view my artistry as adventurous and daring due to my strong use of color and design. I enjoy producing the unexpected which maximizes the viewers enjoyment of my art because it stimulates their visual as well as their intellectual senses." Waters works to be in touch with people, the world, and to establish dialogues through the medium of art. Occasionally, his work is reflective of historically important social and political events. Other times, it can be seen simply as a statement about the beauty ro be found in our world. "Art is a reality for me and a way of giving important messages to a larger audience. My work brings me great joy and it is a blessing just to be able to pursue my dreams and use my skills without obstacles.
