Artist Statement I believe my work is intuitively driven and principally inspired by nature. I am drawn to the symmetry of the natural world, and to how this is balanced within infinite and, sometimes, seemingly random variation. I feel my artwork, similarly, combines my ideal of geometrical precision and clarity with balancing elements of my own human spontaneity. Much of my work involves angular yet delicate forms, drawn to create a sense of movement and flow. I like for the patterns to evolve on the canvas, like a snapshot of a particle of energy in its constant evolution. In terms of composition, my work incorporates minute designs mirrored on a larger scale when viewing the work at a distance. My artwork is mostly abstract, with bold and vibrant choices of color. I like to think of it as fun, exuberant, and playful. Art allows me to be childlike again, and to playfully spin my reality on its head. I consider my artwork a simple statement and expression of my particular corner of the collective consciousness. In my experience, my ideas emerge, not from me, but from a spiritual source which is infinitely lovely and full of wonder. The artist resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
